It is very important to clean the Proctofoam-HC accessories (applicator and plunger, wing-tip cap, topical cap) after each use to prevent the foam from drying and blocking the accessories. Therefore, you should pull the applicator and plunger apart, and wash with warm tap water after each use. Additionally, the wing-tip cap should be removed and cleaned with warm tap water after each use, to allow the foam to reach the plunger for next dosing application. For individuals using the topical cap, it should also be removed from the canister and cleaned with warm tap water after each use.
